Empowering People's Independence

Removing Barriers To A Fulfilling Life

Empowering People's Independence (EPI) is a nonprofit agency serving individuals with developmental or acquired disabilities and brain disorders. Their mission is to develop meaningful partnerships with those they serve, while providing support solutions to help them reach personal goals.

EPI serves people in the Rochester, Syracuse, and Binghamton areas in need of licensed home care, service coordination, day and community habilitation, and fiscal intermediary services. Through several homes located in Monroe County, they provide 24 hour staffing and clinical support to individuals with developmental disabilities including traumatic brain injuries and autism.

EPI is dedicated to establishing comfortable, safe housing environments that reflect the needs of the individuals who live in them. Through tailored education, training, advocacy, and support services, EPI meets the physical, behavioral, and social needs of each person who chooses their agency as a trusted resource.
